We passed electrical inspection this week! Michael has worked long and hard on the electrical, and it paid off. We now have a sub panel for the kitchen, and everything is where it should go. He is self-taught, which makes this an even bigger victory for him.
Hopefully on Friday we can get the insulation inspection (couldn't do the insulation until the electrical was cleared) and then we can do drywall!!! This week will hopefully be spent working on small projects and then one of Michael's cousins is coming to help with the floor and drywall. I'm handy and all that, but it's probably not the best idea for me to be hanging drywall over my head while pregnant. I have no balance as it is.
The plumber should be coming soon to do the gas line. He is trying to schedule us but we seem to be playing phone tag.
And then...we will have a STOVE again!!! I can't even describe how happy that makes me. It's Christmas, and so much of the Christmas prep that I enjoy involves baking!
Speaking of Christmas, we went and picked out our tree Saturday night. It's bee-you-ti-ful. The kids and I decorated it yesterday. Very exciting, especially for Caden, who adores all things Christmas. Michael is going to finish mudding, sanding and painting that wall in the living room tomorrow so the tree is up against a finished wall.
Hopefully next week I'll have pictures of drywall and a finished floor for you!
