We have a kitchen island! Hard to believe, but it sure feels good. We've been having meals at the bar and the kids are really enjoying being able to be up and watching what we're doing when we cook.
The island top is 2 inch thick butcher block, made out of leftover flooring and sealed with a mixture of beeswax and mineral oil. We'll post a tutorial on how Michael did this in a couple of weeks, hopefully.
The progress we're making now is slow and steady, so there's not much "showy stuff" happening as we knock the multitude of smaller projects off our list. More to come soon!
