A couple of weekends ago I went shopping with my sister and the kids. We scored some huge deals, which always makes me giddy. Then I came home and found that Michael had finished the master closet, so I had a brand-spanking-new place to put the clothes I had just scored.
I don't think I can describe to you how excited I was!
When we moved into this house, we learned that the previous owner had done a couple of additions. One was in the master bedroom, where she made the room enormous but put in a bathroom the size of a postage stamp and an even smaller closet. The closet was cramped and not very user-friendly, because she was a collector and had shelves and hooks everywhere that weren't terribly useful.
When we re-did the master bedroom, we decided to add a master closet at the front of the room. It's big, bright and airy, has tons of hanging space and is organized in a way that makes sense.
Fancy that. A closet layout that makes sense.
In a couple of months we will start working on combining the master bath and old master closet into one bigger bathroom. It won't be huge, but it will be significantly better than what we've got now!
